Overall

They like to sue people already undergoing bankruptcy!

My wife is disabled and we lost all health insurance. They couldn't get enough from Medicare for my wife's imaging so they sued us, even though we notified them of our ongoing bankruptcy. The court put a stay and told them to get lost!

Real nice folks, huh? Think twice before you go to them!

A DEXA scan is used to measure bone density for the diagnosis of osteoporosis or to determine the risk of bone fractures. Getting a DEXA scan done in a timely manner can help to slow, maintain, or even improve bone density loss, potentially preventing bone fractures from ever occurring. While women are more likely to have osteoporosis than men, the consequences of the condition tend to be more severe for men than they are for women. Men experience hip fractures at a younger age, and they are more likely to die after breaking a hip than women are. Men who have risk factors such as previous bone fractures, rheumatoid arthritis, a history of smoking, a low BMI, or others should talk to their doctor about whether a DEXA scan would benefit them.

Interventional radiology is used to detect and treat many diseases and conditions, from cancer and heart disease to varicose veins and kidney stones. Because interventional radiology has made open surgery unnecessary for conditions that used to require it, this practice has become an integral part of medical care. Interventional radiology patients benefit from reduced risks, shorter – or no – hospital stays, lower cost than open surgery, greater comfort, quicker convalescence, and a quicker return to work and other aspects of their daily lives. Additionally, the effectiveness of these procedures is often better than with traditional treatments.

  • Prostate Cancer

Prostate MRI has been a crucial tool in diagnosing and treating prostate cancer since 2009. This test creates detailed images of the prostate gland to determine the stage of prostate cancer and how quickly it will grow. Prostate cancer is one of the leading causes of death for men across all racial and ethnic groups, and it is the second most common type of cancer in men. Men between the ages of 45 and 50 should discuss with their doctor whether a prostate MRI is appropriate for them. We use Philips DynaCAD image analysis system to help diagnose and map prostate cancers. DynaCAD software also aids urologists in obtaining accurate biopsies for further diagnosis.

  • Lung Cancer

Using low-dose X-rays to minimize the damage to lung tissue, low-dose CT lung screenings are used to check for lung cancer. Lung cancer is the deadliest cancer in the United States, and it is more prevalent in men than in women. Men with a history of smoking should speak to their doctor about having this test performed to screen for lung cancer.

  • Nuclear Medicine

During a nuclear medicine imaging procedure, a small amount of radioactive material is administered either orally or intravenously, and the material collects in specific organs. A gamma camera is then used to detect the energy being emitted from the substance, and an image is captured. A physician can use these images to diagnose and treat a variety of bone and soft tissue diseases in their earliest stages. Some of the uses of nuclear medicine imaging include...

A (computerized topography) or CT urogram uses medical imaging to examine the urinary tract, including the kidneys and bladder. A CT Urogram can diagnose several conditions that may exist within the urinary tract, such as...

  • Interventional Radiology

ImageCare Centers provides services for interventional radiology in New Jersey. These minimally invasive, image-guided procedures are used to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases and conditions while also being associated with fewer risks and shorter recovery times. During an interventional radiology procedure, tiny instruments such as small needles, guide wires, and catheters are guided through the skin and blood vessels to directly treat the cause of a medical condition.

Surgeons

  • Joint Replacement

You usually have a CCT angiogram in an outpatient imaging facility or the radiology department at a hospital. When you arrive, you’ll change into a hospital gown. You’ll remove eyeglasses and all metal objects, such as jewelry, hairpins, or dentures that contain metal. If you have a pacemaker, joint replacement, or other metal implants in your body, you can usually still have a CCT angiogram because most implants are made of titanium. Tell your healthcare provider if you have a metal implant.

  • Orthopedic Surgery

X-rays play a key role in guiding orthopedic surgery and in the treatment of sports-related injuries. X-ray may uncover more advanced forms of cancer in bones although early screening for cancer findings requires other methods.
